Course Description

This is a 1 to 3 Day Instructor led program designed for engineers who will be implementing and managing the Cisco Application Centric Infrastructure (ACI) solution. This course consists of training material as well as hands-on labs in which trainees will be working to bring up the ACI Fabric and deploy applications on the fabric, as well as configure and manage the ACI solution.

Prerequisites

  • Knowledge of L2 and L3 Networking services concepts
  • Knowledge of L4-L7 Networking services concepts
  • Familiarity with Cloud and DevOps concepts
  • Familiarity with Datacenter virtualization
  • Familiarity with the Software Defined Networking (SDN) policy model

Course Objectives

Upon completion of this course, trainees should be able to understand:
  • ACI concepts as well as ACI policy model
  • Different ACI Products (Modular and Fixed switches)
  • Navigating and managing the Application Policy Infrastructure Controller (APIC)
  • Setup, preparation, and implementation of ACI Fabric
  • Operate and troubleshoot ACI solution
  • Deploy Applications on ACI solution using the APIC
  • Understand Application requirements such as 3-Tiered Apps and load-balancing
  • Hypervisor integration (ex. VMware, OpenStack, Microsoft HyperV)
  • APIC programmability with open REST API and Python
